Harry Golden papers - pt. 2
Part two of papers of a journalist, best selling author, and civil libertarian. Consists chiefly of material generated as editor (1944-68) of the Charlotte-based Carolina Israelite but also documenting his involvement in the Democratic Party, the civil rights movement, and Jewish issues. Includes extensive correspondence files, manuscripts and research materials for books and articles, speeches, financial records, publications, and photographs.
Bertha Harris papers
Comprised of 4 items and 1 bound volume which are two typescript drafts with holograph corrections, excerpts from a handwritten draft, one set of galley proofs, and one published copy of Catching Saradove (New York: Harcourt, Brace & World, Inc., 1969).
Dubose Heyward letter
Collection consists of a letter from DuBose Heyward to Thompson Brown, an English professor at Winthrop College.
Amon Liner appearance on "New Voices" collection
The collection documents "New Voices," a public radio program about seven young writers from North Carolina. Broadcast on WUNC-FM in Chapel Hill, the program spotlighted Liner on April 5, 1978. The collection includes cassette tape of broadcast, a flyer about "New Voices," and a collective drawing of the writers.
H. L. Mencken essay and review typescript drafts
Typescript drafts of five essays and one book review, dated January-March 1939, by H. L. Mencken. All bear extensive corrections in Mencken's own hand in pencil or pen.
Anne Royall Newman papers
Though the collection was accumulated by Anne Newman, a faculty member in the UNC Charlotte English Department, the materials mostly concern other writers—Adrienne Rich, in particular.
Marian McCamy Sims papers
Chiefly printed copies of short stories by a Charlotte writer. Also includes an incomplete typescript of her novel, Beyond Surrender, drafts of an untitled and unfinished novel, manuscript and typed copies of 15 short stories, articles about her writing, and obituaries.

Literary manuscripts of a poet, teacher, and UNC Charlotte graduate. Includes correspondence, promotional material, and drafts, typescripts, and printed copies of poems, stories, and reviews.
