Collection consists of discarded photographs, slides, and photocopies of pamphlets from Charlotte's Redevelopment Commission. Photographs are of neighborhoods, apartment complexes, streets, and roads before and after renewal projects. Photocopied pamplets advertise the Charlotte Redevelopment Commission, progress reports on urban renewal of Charlotte, N.C., and future projects for uptown Charlotte, N.C.

Cone University Center records
This collection contains administrative records of the Cone University Center from 1974 to 2009 as well as audiovisual materials and video logs from Niner Telecommunications Network (NTN) documenting numerous campus events from the early 1990s through 2007. Also included are records and photographs relating to the 35th and 50th anniversaries of the Cone Center, including documents recounting the Center’s history, and to Bonnie Cone’s 90th birthday.

Samantha Gellar "Life Versus the Paperback Romance" papers
Samantha Gellar was a sixteen-year-old high school student at Northwest School of the Arts in Charlotte, North Carolina, when she wrote "Life Versus the Paperback Romance." The play, which dealt with lesbian romance, received a playwright's award from the Charlotte Young Playwright's Festival. Materials relate to the controversial production of Samantha Gellar's 1998 play "Life Versus the Paperback Romance."
Avery Hood papers
Avery Hood was the first professionally trained and licensed social worker in Charlotte, and her career spanned from the 1960s through the 1970s. This collection focuses mainly on her and her career in social work.

Clarence O. Kuester, Sr., papers
Clarence O. Kuester, Sr. was active with the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce and a tireless promoter of the city and its business potential. The collection also contains a significant assortment of papers concerning a theatrical production entitled “Shout Freedom,” which was Kuester’s brainchild and was staged just after his death, in the spring of 1948.
