Photocopies of indentures and surveys relating to land in northern Mecklenburg County along the Catawba River owned by the Sample Family. Some of the papers relate to land previously owned by James Latta, whose ca. 1800 house is the centerpiece for the present-day Historic Latta Plantation. Also includes genealogical information about the Sample Family.
