John M. (John Montgomery) Belk papers
Official papers as mayor of Charlotte (1969-77), dating primarily from his last term. Includes correspondence, reports, and speeches relating to the administration of city government, especially community development, roads, and mass transit.
Blumenthal family papers
The collection contains primarily the papers and photographs of I.D. and Herman Blumenthal and also records from the Radiator Specialty Company and the Blumenthal Foundation. Other papers concern Judaism, Israel, Wildacres Conference Center and Retreat, the Blumenthal Jewish Home and Fair Oaks Assisted Living Facility, during the twentieth century.
Harry L. Dalton papers
W.H. and S.E. Jetton papers
Contains a small collection of papers generated primarily by William Howard Jetton and his sister, Sarah Elizabeth Jetton, from 1908 to 2007.
Clarence O. Kuester, Sr., papers
Clarence O. Kuester, Sr. was active with the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce and a tireless promoter of the city and its business potential. The collection also contains a significant assortment of papers concerning a theatrical production entitled “Shout Freedom,” which was Kuester’s brainchild and was staged just after his death, in the spring of 1948.

Victor Shaw papers
Papers of Shaw, Charlotte mayor (1949-53), primarily related to his first term. Includes correspondence, speeches, clippings, memorabilia, photographs, and a recording of presidential candidate Dwight D. Eisenhower's campaign speech in Charlotte (1952).
Morris Speizman papers
Papers of a Charlotte businessman, author, and Jewish community leader. Includes biographical material; typescript of his book, Our World to Come (1975); manuscript autobiography of his father, David S. Speizman (ca. 1873-1957), who immigrated from Poland in 1905; and correspondence with and material about Harry Golden.
Philip Lance Van Every papers
Primarily papers relating to his two terms as mayor of Charlotte (1953-1957). Includes routine correspondence, speeches, clippings, biographical information, and photographs. Also contains a small amount of material relating to his personal life and family and to his service as president and chair of the board of Lance, Inc. (1943-1973).
John Weil papers
The collection consists of the papers of John (Jack) Weil, circa 1960-2009. This includes journals, appointment books, papers from Christ Episcopal Church (in Charlotte, NC), Weil family genealogical notes, records from Systems Associates, Inc. and a rare IBM corporate songbook.
