Davidson family papers
Papers of the Davidson family of Rural Hill Plantation in northern Mecklenburg County, N.C., and of the related families Alexander, Barry, Hampton, Montieth, and Wilson. Includes correspondence, family Bibles, financial records, land records, newspaper clippings, photographs, and plantation records for Rural Hill, as well as Dickson (Dixon) in Gaston County, N.C.
History of the English Language Class Transcriptions
Transcriptions of some of the 19th century letters and papers in Special Collections Manuscripts at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Atkins Library. Most transcriptions include photocopies of the applicable manuscripts with notations made by transcribers. These transcriptions were part of the course work for Dr. Boyd Davis' 2001 class on the History of the English Language.
