Abstract
Bill Stokes was a 65-year-old man at the time of this interview, which took place next to the Lake Wylie Dam in South Carolina. He was born in Charlotte, North Carolina and was educated at West Mecklenburg High School, and studied electrical engineering at North Carolina State University. He was employed as an electrical engineer. Bill Stokes discusses his hobby of kayaking up and down the Catawba River, and his hobby of collecting the balls that he has found floating down the river. He describes the condition and quantities of trash that come out of the confluence of Sugar Creek and the Catawba River.
