Summary

Bill Brown recalls his career as a stock car racing mechanic during the 1950s and 1960s. He describes his experiences growing up near Winston-Salem, North Carolina and building cars for races at Bowman Gray Stadium. Mr. Brown often prepared cars for drivers Bobby and Billy Myers, who competed and won many races in the Carolinas and Virginia with Mr. Brown's cars. Other topics discussed include car modifications for safety and for moonshine running, as well as Mr. Brown's memories of other drivers.
