Abstract

Sonyia Copeland Richardson was a 44 year-old woman at the time of interview, which took place remotely using the Zoom meeting platform.. She was born in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1977. She was educated at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was employed as a social worker and professor at UNC Charlotte. In this interview, she discusses her family background and her experiences as an unconventional student between 1995-1999.
