Scope and Contents
This collection contains records of the Student Media department such as budgets, minutes, and reports. Also included are video cassettes of the Niner Video yearbook from 1989 to 1997 and a file related to the proposal for a student-run radio station.

Administrative Structure
As of 2017, Student Niner Media is a department in Student Activities under Student Union, Activities, and Recreation (SUAR) in the Division of Student Affairs. The Student Niner Media Advisor reports to the Assistant Vice Chancellor and Director of Student Activites. As of this year, the department oversees the student newspaper Niner Times, Sanskrit, and Radio Free Charlotte. Historically, Student Media was also responsible for publishing the magazine Etcetera.
