Biographical / Historical

The Master of Health Administration (MHA) program was established in 1995. It was an intercollegiate and interdisciplinary program initially administered by the Graduate School. Carolyn R. Thompson was the program's first director. Courses are taught by faculty from the College of Arts and Sciences, the Belk College of Business Administration, and the College of Nursing and Health Professions.

Currently, the masters program is offered by the Department of Public Health Sciences in the College of Health and Human Services.
