Administrative History
In January 1984 Chancellor Fretwell appointed the Task Force on the Non-Traditional Student. The task force was charged with defining the term "non-traditional student", identify the needs of this population in the greater Charlotte area, investigate the University's existing offerings to this community, to recommend changes in policies and procedures which would allow UNCC to better serve this population, to assess the University's ability to make these changes, and to develop a plan and schedule for implementing the recommended changes.
Members of the task force were: Priscilla Andrews, Kathi Baucom, Ken Burrows, Evelyn Davis, Charles Dean, Raymond Frankle (Chair), Schley Lyons, Charles Mobley, Richard Neel, Wynola Richards, Norm Schul, and Roger Trumbore.
The task force held its final meeting in January 1985 and submitted its formal recommendations to the Chancellor in February 1985.
