The Program Files series constitutes a large portion of the records and contains checklists, agreements, invoices, correspondence, entry applications for contests, and promotional materials including photographs.

For the files that were processed in years previous to the merge (Boxes 1-2), the physical arrangement appears to be original and is chronological, while the intellectual arrangement appears to have been imposed by the processing archivist. This intellectual arrangement involved added headings, e.g. “Concert” or “Film,” as prefixes to many of the file titles followed by an alphabetical arrangement. Thus, all concerts were arranged alphabetically and came before all films, which were also arranged alphabetically within their category. After the merge, this arrangement was generally retained, but the files within each heading were pulled together into official subseries and in some cases, some file headings were grouped together into a single subseries, e.g. Lectures and Speakers.

The remaining files from this accession that had not been given an added heading were added to the Chronological Program Files subseries, which was created in the process of inventorying the program files that were processed at the time of the merge in March 2017.

Another accession was physically arranged alphabetically and was inventoried accordingly in March 2017, with the intellectual arrangement reflecting the physical one. This accession became the Alphabetical Program Files subseries.

This series thus contains the following nine subseries: Concerts; Comedians, Hypnotists, and Magicians; Films; Homecoming and Welcome Back Bash; Lectures and Debates; Plays and Dance Performances; Talent Search; Alphabetical Program Files; and Chronological Program Files. The Chronological Program Files subseries is further divided according to the date ranges of the initial accessions: 1978-1988; 1988-1998; 2002-2004.
