Scope and Contents
The collection contains material collected by Galvin as chairperson of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce Education Committee, 1954-56, and subsequently as a member of the committee. Documents the work of the Committee, particularly through its Sub-committee on College Improvement, to gain support for community funding of Charlotte and Carver colleges, to establish a technical institute within Charlotte College, and eventually to obtain state funding to make Charlotte College a four-year school.
