Biographical / Historical

The Liberty Hall Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution was organized in Charlotte, North Carolina on March 13, 1909 with 31 members. The chapter is named for Liberty Hall Academy (originally called Queen's College) which was established in 1771 at the corner of Tryon and Third Street in uptown Charlotte as North Carolina's first college. Members of the chapter are involved in several charitable organizations, including supporting the VA Medical Center in Salisbury with an annual Christmas tea and donating money, clothes, school supplies and food to DAR schools.
