The collection consists of material acquired by Bernard through his involvemnt in numerous LGBTQ organizations in the Charlotte area. It contains items from the Carolina Journal, Queen City Quordinators, the National March for Lesbian and Gay Rights, the National Gay Task Force and Front Page. There are also several T-Shirts representing Charlotte LGBTQ and LGBTQ-ally organizations.

Biographical Note

Keith Bernard was born in Rock Hill, SC and graduated from Winthrop University. He later attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in order to earn sufficient credits to sit for the CPA exam. While at UNC Charlotte, Bernard contributed to the student newspaper, the 49er Times. He lives in Charlotte, NC and has been active in numerous LGBTQ organizations.
