Scope and Contents
Collection consists of four VHS and two U-Matic videotapes of interviews conducted between 1975 and 1989 by UNC Charlotte Professor Nish Jamgotch. The interviewees are V.M. Berezhkov, an interpreter for Stalin and Molotov at conferences with Churchill and Roosevelt during World War II and later a professor at Occidental College; Saul Mendlovitz and Igor Khripunov, experts on nuclear security and arms control; and Dean Rusk, Secretary of State under presidents Kennedy and Johnson. The interviews cover issues concerning United States foreign policy, especially U.S.-Soviet relations, and arms control. Correspondence related to the acquisition and the content of the videos is included.
