This collection contains material primarily related to David Howard's service in Charlotte and Mecklenburg county government. It includes material related to Mothers of Murdered Offspring, Charlotte Transportation, the NAACP (Charlotte, NC and National) and the Charlotte City Council. The collection also contains a significant amount of material related to Howard's time as Chief Deputy Secretary of the NC Department of Transportation.
