Southeastern 500, 1979
Scope and Contents
The vast majority of images in this collection document the 1979 Southeastern 500 race that took place on April 1, 1979, at the Bristol International Raceway in Bristol, Tennessee. A few images, however, record events at the Volunteer 500 race at the same track on August 25, 1979. Rookie Dale Earnhardt earned the first win of his long career in the 1979 Southeastern 500.
